I’ve very much enjoyed a couple of Deborah Klee’s lovely books – Just Bea (you’ll find my review here), and The Forever Cruise (here‘s my review of that one) – and I’m rather looking forward to reading and reviewing her latest, The Last Act, in October/November. But she’s also extremely supportive of other authors – you might already be very much aware of the #FriSalon on Twitter/X, and the excellent The Mindful Writer podcasts (you’ll find them here). But I’ve always particularly enjoyed her Castaway Books conversations with authors about books that have inspired them and influenced their writing – so I was rather delighted when she told me she’d like to chat with some bloggers for a change, and asked if I’d like to take part.
The format’s a lovely one – five “desert island” books that have had an impact at different stages of your life, and the memories associated with them. And although it’s never an altogether comfortable experience being in the spotlight, I must say that I very much enjoyed our conversation – you might like to join us, and watch on YouTube…
Or if you’d like to just listen, you’ll find the link here.
Many thanks Deborah – and if you’d like to watch some of the other Castaway Books episodes, you’ll find them here.
I need to have a listen. What a lovely idea x
It was an absolute delight chatting with you Anne. Thank you for being my guest.
Thank you again Deborah – I really enjoyed the experience!
Great interview Anne, I’ve just watched it. I went through a Victoria Holt phase too, they were great reads.
Thanks Jill – and I’m ever so tempted to try a Victoria Holt book again…
Finally getting round to listening. This is utterly wonderful Anne x
Thank you Linda – and thank you again to Deborah for making it such an enjoyable experience!
