It’s not very often that I reblog other people’s features, but this post from author Lizzie Lamb so impressed me today. I had the immense pleasure recently of spending time with Lizzie (and lovely Dave, in his kilt!) at Narberth Book Fair, and thoroughly enjoyed her talk to a group of writers who left inspired after she shared how being a writer can be within everyone’s grasp. This post – for authors, on getting your name out there – is every bit as inspirational and encouraging. I’d hate anyone to miss it…
As an indie author it’s important for word of my books to get out there. If I don’t go the extra mile to promote my novels, no one else will. So – how do I achieve this I hear you ask?…

Thanks for this, Anne. I’ve bookmarked it so that I can properly take in the advice without constant interruptions!
Hope you find it useful, Trish!
Hi Anne, thank you so much for sharing my post in such a fabulous fashion. Getting noticed is so hard for indie and traditionally published authors as the publicity budgets seem to get spent on the chosen few. The rest of us have to do our best with what we have. I’m currently researching how to hone my tags and cats more effectively on Amazon . . . expect a blog post once I’ve cracked it. LOL.
My absolute pleasure Lizzie. Can’t help with the tags and cats, but I’ll look out for your blog post once you’ve cracked it!
I think the men in the white coats might get to me first. LOL.
Thank you for sharing this Anne. Really interesting and useful post. x
Isn’t it just, Sue – shared in case anyone should miss it! x
