Delighted tonight to be taking part in the cover reveal for Only One Woman by Christina Jones and Jane Risdon, to be published as an e-book on 23rd November by Accent Press (available for pre-order), with the paperback to follow on 24th May next year. I was under strict instructions on this one – 7pm on 21st September, not a moment before – but I expect, like me, you’ve been reading about this book and seeing its cover all over Facebook and Twitter for the last couple of weeks. But no matter – a new book from Christina Jones is well worth shouting about, and I’m really delighted to see it was written with Jane Risdon, who has been a friend and supporter of Being Anne for such a long time.
Here’s the story:
Two women, one love story.
June 1968. Renza falls head over heels for heartthrob guitarist Scott. But after a romantic summer together they are torn apart when Renza’s family moves away.
December 1968. On the night she believes to be her last, Stella meets Scott at a local dance. He’s the most beautiful boy she’s ever seen and if this one night is all they have, she’ll take it.
As the final colourful year of the sixties dawns, the question is: can there be only one woman for Scott?
And now I’ll have that tune – Only One Woman by the Marbles – going round in my head all evening! It always was one of my favourites…
The blog tour for this lovely book is coming up in November – looking forward to taking my turn on the 25th!
