I’m just getting my diary sorted before I get Being Anne up and running with a regular weekday post schedule again, and I thought it might be good to let you know about a few things you can look forward to during July.
First of all, although I’ve read very little while on holiday, I now have three books waiting for reviews – all thoroughly enjoyed… I’ll be posting all three reviews this week.
Then I have a few blog tour posts to prepare. On Friday 8th July I’m delighted to have Rebecca Bradley as my guest – the second book in her Detective Hannah Robbins crime series, Made To Be Broken, was published on 30th June.
Then on Saturday 9th July I’ll be chatting with Shelley Day – her debut novel, The Confession of Stella Moon is published in paperback on 7th July (available already for kindle), and I’m really delighted with her answers to my questions.
On Monday 11th July, I’ll be welcoming Helen MacKinven back to Being Anne as part of the blog tour for her new novel Buy Buy Baby – published on 7th July – with a great guest post on the theme of public speaking and doing something that’s out of your comfort zone.
On Thursday 14th July – release day – I’ll be the first stop on the blog tour for Summer in Tintagel by Amanda James, with a review and signed copy giveaway. Amanda’s one of my favourite authors – I’ve already read this one, and really, really enjoyed it.
On Tuesday 19th July I’m delighted to be welcoming JA Corrigan, as part of the blog tour for Falling Suns, released on 14th July. I’ll be reviewing the book, and I have a lovely guest post from the author on her path to publication.
On Friday 22nd July, I’m joining the blog tour for Owl Song At Dawn by Emma Claire Sweeney, published by Legend Press on 1st July. I’ll be introducing an extract from the book.
On Wednesday 27th July, I’m hosting two blog tours. The first is for The Unravelling by Thorne Moore, published by Honno on 21st July, and I’ll be reviewing the book – and really looking forward to it. The second is for Lying In Wait by Liz Nugent, published on 14th July – a guest post, and a review. I’m looking forward to this one too – I really loved Unravelling Oliver…
Finally for this month, I’ll be reviewing We’ll Always Have Paris by Sue Watson on Friday 29th July as part of the blog tour. I’ve already read this one, and absolutely loved it – and Sue will be adding a little extra something to the post.
And that’s not all, by any means! A couple more tours are still being finalised, and I have the usual “must read and review” list to work my way through. Some of you may have noticed I’m now a Choc Lit Star, and I’m hoping to review a few of their books this month – House of Secrets by Lynda Stacey, Can’t Buy Me Love by Jane Lovering, Learning To Love by Sheryl Browne and Where Dragonflies Hover by AnneMarie Brear.
I have a few other promises to keep too – reviews of The Penny Heart by Martine Bailey, The Beauty of the End by Debbie Howells, Sunshine and Secrets by Bella Osborne, Escape To The Riviera by Jules Wake, All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker, A Life Without You by Katie Marsh, Follow Your Star by Jennifer Bohnet, Torn by Gilli Allan… and several more, if I’m able to fit them in! And, before the month ends, I’m really looking forward to fulfilling my long overdue promise of reading and reviewing Judith Barrow’s enticing trilogy – Pattern of Shadows, Changing Patterns and Living In The Shadows.
All that and lots more guest posts and interviews to arrange – and I’m still hoping to move my blog to WordPress and my own domain by August. I’d better be getting on with it, hadn’t I? I always think sleep is rather over-rated…!
Busy month! I've been a bit absent of late so apologies for my ignorance but what's a choc lit star Anne?

Phew Anne! Your work schedule is phenomenal and truly impressive. Good luck with your 'to do' list. It makes me feel tired just reading it. gx
I feel exhausted just reading your To Do List Anne! You'll need another holiday at the end of the month. (vbg) x
Have you booked your next holiday yet, Anne? You're going to need one! And all this is without actually posting the posts! Eeeek! Best of luck, sweetie. Thanks for all your support. You really are a total star! 🙂 xx
