Being Anne: Coming up in November… #amreading #MondayBlogs #bookbloggers

By | October 30, 2017

Goodness, October turned out to be a bit busier than I expected: I’m not really a two-posts-a-day girl, and there were a few times that I found I really had to, but it was nice to have a little bit of a break towards the end of the month to get ahead with my reading. The problem is that the more blog tours and guest posts I do, the less other reading – December will need to be my real catch-up month, I promise, with only a small handful of tours in the diary. But let’s take a quick look at November…

I have something SO exciting on Wednesday 1st November, I can hardly contain myself… and it’s with two of my very favourite authors. Nope, I’m not telling you. A clue? A big clue? Oh, ok then…

Well, wouldn’t you be excited?

On Thursday 2nd November I’m really delighted to be reviewing The Other Daughter by Sara Alexi. I’ve been very aware of Sara’s writing for a very long time, and so many of her Greek books are on my kindle. But this one’s set in Yorkshire, so how could I resist?

Remember how much I loved The Man in the Needlecord Jacket (you can read the review again here)? I’m thrilled to be welcoming Linda MacDonald back to Being Anne on Friday 3rd November as part of the promotion for the audiobook of Meeting Lydia – a great guest post on electronic relationships.

A little bit of a break then – I might get some reading done after all – until I’m back on Thursday 9th November with a guest post for the blog tour with Neverland Tours for The Lido Girls by Allie Burns.

On Friday 10th November I’m delighted to be joining the blog tour – organised by Rachel’s Random Resources – for Wide Awake Asleep by Louise Wise, with a rather lovely guest post.

Another one of Rachel’s tours on Saturday 11th November – an excellent guest post from Maxine Morrey, author of The Best Little Christmas Shop.

On Monday 13th November it’ll be such a pleasure to take a look at Linn B Halton’s writing again – I’ll be reviewing Christmas at Bay Tree Cottage as part of the blog tour with Brook Cottage Books.

Then on Tuesday 14th November, another tour, and I’ll be reviewing a book I just couldn’t resist – The Last Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb could have had “Anne will love this one” written on the cover…

Wednesday 15th November? That’s my day for reviewing Fox Halt Farm by debut novelist Celia Moore, again as part of a blog tour with Brook Cottage Books. I’m really looking forward to this one…

I had the great pleasure of meeting Katherine Garbera when I joined the Belmont Belles for lunch earlier this month – and on Thursday 16th November I’ll be featuring a guest post as part of the tour organised by Rachel’s Random Resources for Christmas at the Candied Apple Cafe.

Rachel’s really been cracking the whip this month (actually, it’s just that she’s running some great tours)! On Friday 17th November it’ll be a real pleasure to feature The Mercury Travel Club by Helen Bridgett for a second time…

And on Saturday 18th November I have a thoroughly perfect guest post from Kiltie Jackson, author of A Rock’n’Roll Lovestyle.

Also on Saturday 18th November, I’m so looking forward to reviewing The Truth About You, Me and Us by Kate Field as part of the blitz being organised by Brook Cottage Books – unforgivably, I never got round to The Magic of Ramblings, but everything tells me I’m going to love her writing.

On Monday 20th November I’ll enjoy telling you all about Paradise Girl by Phill Featherstone once more, as part of a Brook Cottage Books blog tour. Let’s face it, a book this good really deserves a second airing…

Tuesday 21st November? It’ll be such a pleasure to feature another of my favourites for a second time – Jungle Rock by Caroline James…

…and I’m also looking forward to reading and reviewing The House at Ladywell by Nicola Slade for the tour organised by Brook Cottage Books.

Then it’s time for some of Jan Ruth’s gorgeous writing – I’ll be welcoming Jan to Being Anne on Wednesday 22nd November, then reviewing both Home For Christmas and Away For Christmas on Thursday 23rd November. Some of you may remember how Jan’s Wild Water Series kept me going when I struggled to read during last year’s dark days (read my review again here), so I’m really looking forward to reading these two.

On Friday 24th November I’m looking forward to introducing you to Maggie Christensen. I’ve been aware of her writing for a while now – about women who have learned to live and love in later life, heartwarming stories of second chances – and I’ll be delighted to read and review her latest, The Good Sister (published on 23rd November), early in the New Year.

On Saturday 25th November it’ll be a real pleasure to join the blog tour for Only One Woman by Christina Jones and Jane Risdon…

…then on Monday 27th November I’ll be featuring a guest post from Cassandra O’Leary, author of Heart Note – another tour organised by Rachel.

And on Wednesday 29th November, my final tour of the month – and I really wanted to read this one, but it was just impossible – is the birthday blitz for Christmas at the Little Knitting Box by Helen Rolfe.

I met a couple of lovely ladies for the first time at the York RNA Afternoon Tea we all enjoyed. I’ve read and loved Sharon Booth’s books before, and plan to read and review one of her new ones – Saving Mr Scrooge – before the end of the month. And I also had the real pleasure of meeting Jessica Redland, Sharon’s friend and (like Helen Rolfe) fellow member of The Write Romantics – I’ll be introducing you to Jessica, and reviewing the gorgeous looking Charlee and the Chocolate Shop. No fixed date for these two, but I’ll find a special corner…

I’ve made a few more reviewing promises for this month too…

… should I falter, and I really do hope I won’t, those reviews will be with you in December.

And it won’t have escaped anyone’s notice that, with apologies, I still have some September and October promises outstanding – all books I still plan to read and review within the next couple of months.

Think I need a lie down in a darkened room after that… not too dark though, I need to get reading!

Some fabulous books there Anne, enjoy! (I think even in a darkened room, you’d be reading with a light hidden under a blanket) great work and thank you on behalf of all us authors. X

Can’t wait to see what your 1st November news is after seeing the photo, Anne. We are on quite a few of the same tours this month. I’ve read a Sara Alexi book, The Piano Man, and really enjoyed it, although I haven’t got time to fit a read of The Other Daughter in. And I loved The Man in the Needlecord Jacket too.
