Being Anne: Taking a break for a while…

By | October 24, 2016

I rarely write about anything really personal on Being Anne – it’s a place to celebrate the books I love – but I need to do so today, and I hope you’ll forgive me.

Life has been extremely difficult for the last couple of weeks, and you may already have noticed I’ve been just a tad quieter than usual. My father has been very seriously ill (and in hospital) for the last few weeks, my mother (at 91) has been finding things very difficult too, and I’ve been doing what I can while staying with them in Wales. My lovely Dad passed away peacefully last night.

I’ve kept up with most of my blogging commitments until now, but can do so no longer: Being Anne will be going a little quiet for a while until life settles down again into a manageable pattern.

My sincere apologies to those authors who’ve supplied books, and to whom I’ve promised reviews or interviews, especially to coincide with release dates or promotions – I hope to deliver on all promises at some point in the future, but it just won’t be possible during October/November.

Rest in peace Dad.

Much love, Anne xxx

As we await our own Dad’s passing in possibly days Anne I know exactly how you are feeling. You know I’m sending you all our love and support and if there is anything we can do, you only have to say. Our hearts are with you. Linda and Steve xxx

Thinking of you Anne. I lost my husband last year and joining your blog eased me back into sorting out my writing which had been put aside for over three years. Thank you. Take care of yourself. Joan.

Dear Anne every one’s response to a parent’s death is unique and yet universal. What I have discovered is that the depth of the love deepens the pain initially but it becomes a sweet gratitude of remembering a love which will never die. Take care .Deirdre
